CERTI-CRIMP RATCHETING HAND CRIMP TOOL. AMP hand crimp tool, Model 47387-7. AMP CERTI-CRIMP crimp tool, used to crimp PIDG and PLASTI-GRIP terminals and splices onto a wire size range of 14 - 16 AWG. This tool features a fixed crimp die-set to produce a closed barrel, confined crescent style crimp.

High specification design using high-quality materials. Ergonomically designed handles with pre-set handle force pressures reduces crimp force required. Locator included in the die-set for accurate terminal placement. Ideal for use in low production runs, prototype work and repairs, and any other application that requires consistent, high-quality terminations. This tool is also suitable for most military, UL and CSA applications.

The CERTI-CRIMP ratchet ensures full crimping of the contact. Once engaged, the ratchet will not release until the tool handles have been fully closed. The crimping dies bottom before the CERTI-CRIMP ratchet releases, this is a design feature that assures maximum electrical and tensile performance of the crimp.
